This content will teach children how to code and how to build their own website. We will be using trinket.io to input our code and we will also use a browser to search for images and colours to add to our website. The goals of the event are to familiarize young people with the steps required to build a website, adding text and images, to improve on typing accuracy and speed and help them improve their coding skills. It is beneficial for the group to be able to see their progress as they work on the project. The advantage of the event is demonstrating to children that with a computer and an internet connection they can turn code into a website and then to personalise it. We also want to encourage communication and co-operation between members of the group by collaborating on small projects. The relevant information about the workshop including registering for the event will be communicated by posters and our website or by contacting us through phone/email.
