Open in-person activity
Greek
Tralleon, 111 42, Athina, GRC
The activity is part of the eTwinning project "The World We Want noW -The 4 Ws". It is a simple and funny unplugged activity for preschoolers.
During the activity students will:
•Understand in an experiential way sequencing and computational thinking
•Familiarize with the concept of coding and decoding
•Make their first step in coding in a funny and playful way
The idea of the activity was the pupils to realise that apart from the Greek and English alphabet there are other alphabets too. One of them is a secret alphabet called Morse Code. Pupils found very interesting the activity of writing the letters of our eTwinning project "THE FOUR WS", trying to match each letter with the corresponding Morse signal. Athough in the beginning it was a little difficult for them to understand the correspondence between letters and signals , later they were very excited and they had fun to create this secret code to such an extend that in the last days they like to write their names in Morse Code and discover a new way of communication as they try to read each other's name .
