As part of Europe Code Week Mount Sion CBS Secondary School will be offering coding workshops to students in the school but also to the primary school located on the campus. Students from 1st to 3rd Year along with various classes from our primary school will be introduced to Scratch and some web design tutorials using HTML and CSS provided by our IT Teachers along with some of our 4th year students currently on placement in a Software Development Company. Our 4th years will be introduced to the hardware side of computing with the intention of understanding the components and construction of a computer. Our 5th and 6th years will meet representatives from different universities and industries for presentations and demonstrations based around coding and computer science. We will also hold open workshops where we will show our students our robotics sector where we are involved in VEX EDR competition and our 3D printer.
